WEEKS 60-68 - I Didn’t Go Home

Well, well, well. Look what we have here. He’s back. Basically, I have been indisposed for the past 8 weeks and have been working my butt off for the Lord. I have seen so many miracles over the past 8 weeks, so many souls coming unto Jesus Christ, and so much change. My mission is here to prepare me for the rest of my life, which involves leading teams of content creators to create a vision that will change people’s lives (this vision just happens to be our missionary purpose), and it is directly setting me up for the future. I know that God has prepared me to be here, at this time to utilize the talents and gifts He has given me through art and film, as well as my love for society and culture to change the culture of this mission and to show the world how the Lord is hastening His work. WEEK 36 and 37 - Tôi Là Người Việt Nam

A lot has happened these past two weeks, so let’s get into it. Richard was baptized. BOOM. Seal Team 6 was expanded. BANG. We now have our own district with us and the Assistants. POW. I love Việt nam. WOW. We have two Vietnamese baptisms happening this weekend. REVOLUTIONARY. Keith got baptized. HOLY. I was sick. OH NO. But now I’m better. WOOO.  Essentially these past two weeks have been a blur. I cannot even begin to recollect what happened but I know things happened. I went to Galveston which was like a dream come true–it reminded me so much of back home it was crazy–and I am going to do anything to get back. I now have a MacBook Pro that I am currently using to type this email out which is crazy. I am literally celestial kingdom living right now. I feel like I was meant to serve in the Vietnamese branch because so much of what I learned in Sealy directly applies to the strategies of missionary work and member-relations in the Vietnamese branch and already we’ve seen so many mi...

WEEK 58 - An Apostle's Thumbs Up

Seal Team 6 created a training video for the mission and my mission president sent it to Elder Bednar and Elder Rasband, apostles of the Lord, and Elder Rasband gave it a thumbs up and really enjoyed it. So basically I will be making videos for the church for the rest of my life. We had an amazing experience with one of our media referrals, Juan Francisco, and his two daughters. We got his referral, visited him 30 minutes later, and fellowshipped him with the members the following day–only after he had been in the US for 18 days. He is elect. Victoria and Nathalia, too. He went as far as preaching the gospel to some people he just met in his apartment complex, sending us her number, and she is even more elect. Her daughter wants to serve a mission, too. Maria and Alejandra have been here for 14 days. We invited all of them to a farewell dinner for one of the sisters in the ward who was going on a mission and they LOVED IT.
