WEEK 32 - Seal Team 6

We’ve been dubbed Seal Team 6 of the mission with President Garn as our fearless leader. We’ve also been called the Avengers, me being Iron Man, but that is to say that our efforts are starting to bring forth results. Our task is to bring about a great change in the mission culture in regards to media, and it's starting. After filming all day, editing all night (literally), and showing off a video we made to new missionaries, they are beyond excited for what media, referrals, and social media can bring. I’m so fortunate to be here, in this mission, at this exact moment and I can’t wait for what else is going to come to pass.

On top of grinding out content, we put one of our friends, Richard, on date for the end of August!!!! He is literally so elect, I love him so much. We found him my first Sunday here in Memorial and, after me being awake for over 24 hours, he is so ready to make that next step in his relationship with God. Like I can’t even begin to describe it, I just. I love him like a brother. He is just so meek and sincere of heart, it’s insane. So please, continue to pray for him so he can continue to progress towards his baptism date!!!!

I marvel at the fact that we are able to continue to do missionary work, and really good work with only 4 hours of proselyting. Like, it blows my mind. It just goes to show that we are doing God’s work and God wants us to be spending the majority of our time on media through blessing our area when we eventually make our way outside.

Because I am back in the Richmond stake, I was able to see some of my old friends from H4, my first area! I saw Hermano Mondragon and Portillo on Saturday because they just happened to be at our church building because the mission office (and their church building) still does not have power. It was so awesome to reconnect with them like I can’t even describe it.

I’ll leave you all with a quote from our testimony meeting yesterday, given by a child.

“Jesus protects us just like how he protected Trump from the bullet that would have gone through his brain.”

P.S. If you want to watch some of the stuff I've made this past week, look at the most recent testimony posted by Near Him on FaceBook.
